Our client, an extra-ministerial department set-up to oversee the management of pensions for “pensioners not transiting to the Defined Contributory Scheme” has recently received the mandate to carry out its functions as stipulated by the PRA 2004. The Organization now seeks to recruit self-driven, experienced and motivated individuals to fill selected positions. The client seeks to fill the following key positions:

DIRECTOR, PENSION DEPARTMENT (DPD – PFA012)

This role is primarily responsible for overseeing the administration of the Defined Benefit Scheme for a particular category of pensioners.

The Job Holder would report to the Executive Secretary and has oversight of the Pensions division.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure alignment with approved work plans and programs whilst providing guidance, leadership and strategic direction in the day-to-day activities of the department.

Establish and implement adequate controls to mitigate erroneous, delayed, inaccurate and fraudulent payments to pensioners

Ensure prompt payment of pension for all pensioners under the Defined Benefit Pension Scheme.

ROLE OVERVIEW
Examinations Delivery: Adhere to all instructions issued by the supervisor/examination board. Be familiar with all relevant notices, instructions and requirements relating to the specific examination.
Customer Service: Complaints, comments and feedback are dealt with in accordance with corporate policy and the Exams Quality Standards. Be impartially friendly to candidates.
Be smartly and appropriately dressed with no noisy jewelry or heels.
Other Duties: Attend training sessions before conducting any invigilation duties. Attend the annual refresher training sessions. Attend other meetings as required by British Council staff
The post holder will be required to work within the south west region of Nigeria. Note that the post holder might be required to invigilate exams at locations different from their base.
