for a dynamic and motivated person for the position of Programme Finance
officer to manage all aspects of the programme finance function of the very
exciting Nigeria programme.
PROGRAMME FINANCE OFFICER
ABOUT THE ROLE
The post holder will be
responsible for working with partner organizations to assist them in financial
management. S/he will oversee partners’ financial reporting, budgeting,
auditing and compliance in line with Christian Aid’s policies, procedures and
standards. The post holder will build the financial management capacity of
partner organizations and improve the capacity of Christian Aid’s programme
staff to understand Christian Aid’s and institutional donors’ policies and
procedures.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate must possess
a degree in accounting or its equivalent, and hold professional membership
registration e.g ican or its equivalent. s/he must have significant experience
working for a similar organization
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Knowledge of financial standards
required by donors, local financial standards and legal framework
Experience in working with
financial accounting procedures, writing and reviewing financial reports,
creating and monitoring budgets
Experience in delivering
financial training using different methodologies.
Experience in the usage of using
excel and word processing packages and other account reporting tools
Fluency in verbal and written
English
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
Experience working for an
international NGO
Experience dealing with
institutional donor fund accounting
