WEWE is in the process of strengthening its finance and administration to be strictly compliant to International finance and administration regulations and rules, WEWE policies and procedures and USAID’s 22 CFR 226 regulations. As a result WEWE is soliciting for a mid-level highly skilled certified accountant, who is naturally gifted, outstanding, talented and has hands on experience with daily internal auditing and/or financial and administrative compliance monitoring.

Location: The position will be based in Owerri, Imo State with frequent travel to WEWE Head office in Abuja and WEWE LOPIN, Anambra office to conduct internal audits and travel for document verifications assignments.

INTERNAL AUDITOR/COMPLIANCE OFFICER/FINANCIAL ANALYST

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organization (WEWE) is soliciting for an individual to fill a job vacancy for a 5-year USAID funded project called ‘Local Partner for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (LOPIN) Project for Anambra and Imo State’.

WEWE is looking for a certified accountant who: is an upcoming mid-level certified accountant who is naturally gifted, talented and highly skilled yet humble, God fearing and very hardworking ranks top in the field of accounting and internal auditing and who has significant prize winning achievements, one who has won merit awards, one who has been awarded the best employee of the year in their current or previous organization and has significantly contributed to their organization’s compliance status with documented evidence to prove this has an eagle eye for catching incomplete and non-compliance issues within an organization’s finance and administrative processes and procedures willing to live in Owerri, Imo State for 5 years willing to travel frequently to WEWE LOPIN office in Anambra and Abuja and make local runs for financial verification assignments within Imo state, Anambra State and Abuja, FCT

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The candidate must have at least:
A B.Sc. or Higher National Diploma in Accounting
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a reputable audit firm as an auditor or compliance officer or financial analyst
A high proficiency in the use of computer – MS Excel, MS Word and accounting software
Membership of ICAN or ACCA
Evidence of prizes won, merit awards, certificate of best employee awards or recognition of excellence or any other specific talents in the field of internal auditing with documented evidence and proof
A minimum of three strong professional referees who are also members of ICAN or ACCA or direct supervisors at their current or former place of work .who can attest and can guarantee the applicant’s financial integrity
A postgraduate degree in finance, accounting, business administration or any other related field is an added advantage
