University of Lagos – popularly
known as Unilag – is a federal government university with a main campus located
at Akoka, Yaba, and a college of medicine located at Idi-Araba, all in Lagos,
Lagos State, southern Nigeria. It is one of twenty-five federal universities
which are overseen and accredited by the National Universities Commission.
Founded in 1962, the University of Lagos has, for over 5 decades, provided
qualitative and research-oriented education to Nigerians and all those who have
entered its domain in search of knowledge. At its inception, the University of
Lagos was empowered to produce a professional workforce that would steer the
political, social and economic development of a newly independent country.
The University began with three
faculties: Commerce and Business Administration, Law and Medicine. The
faculties of Arts, Education, Engineering and Science were added in 1964. The
University currently has a School of Postgraduate Studies, a Distance Learning
Institute (DLI) and twelve faculties.

suitably qualified candidates for the following vacant positions in the
University of Lagos:
PRINCIPAL RESEARCH TECHNOLOGIST
REQUIREMENTS
Prospective candidates should
possess B.Tech/B.Sc with an M.Sc. and PhD in relevant technology
from a
recognized Institution with a minimum of 2nd class Lower Division plus NYSC
Discharge Certificate or Evidence of Exemption.
SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O/L Credit in
five (5) subjects including Mathematics and English Language is compulsory.
Candidates must have a minimum of
12 research publications with at least one (1) in an International Journal.
PRINCIPAL TECHNOLOGIST
REQUIREMENTS
Prospective candidates should
possess HND/B.Tech/B.Sc. in relevant Technology from a recognized Institution
with a minimum of Lower Credit/ 2nd Class Lower Division plus NYSC Discharge
Certificate or Evidence of Exemption.
SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O/L Credit in five
(5) subjects including Mathematics and English Language is compulsory.
In addition, candidates must be
duly registered with the relevant Professional Institutes and possess a minimum
of 10 year relevant research experience.
TECHNICAL OFFICER
REQUIREMENTS
Prospective candidates should
possess a National Diploma (ND) in Engineering with specialization in
Electronics or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institution with a
minimum of Lower Credit.
SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O/L Credit in
five (5) subjects including Mathematics and English Language is compulsory.
STATION MANAGER – RADIO UNILAG
REQUIREMENTS
Prospective candidates should
possess B.Sc/B.A in Journalism or Mass Communication or any related discipline
from a recognized Institution with a minimum of 2nd Class Lower Division plus
NYSC Discharge Certificate or Evidence of Exemption.
SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O/L credit in
five (5) subjects including Mathematics and English Language is compulsory.
SENIOR TECHNOLOGIST (CENTRAL
RESEARCH LABORATORY)
REQUIREMENTS
HND/B.Tech/B.Sc. in relevant
Technology from a recognized Institution with a minimum of Lower Credit/ 2nd
Class Lower Division plus NYSC Discharge Certificate or Evidence of Exemption.

REQUIREMENTS

of six (6) years relevant experience in Broadcasting, News Editing and
Reporting.
SENIOR PRODUCTION MANAGER (RADIO

possess B.Sc/B.A/HND in Journalism, Mass Communication or any related
discipline from a recognized Institution with a minimum of 2nd Class Lower
Division/Lower Credit plus NYSC Discharge Certificate or Evidence of Exemption.

Candidate must possess a minimum

Professional Certificate in

PRODUCTION MANAGER I (RADIO

Division/Lower Credit plus NYSC Discharge Certificate or Evidence of Exemption.

Professional Certificate in

STUDIO MANAGER II (RADIO UNILAG)
REQUIREMENTS

possess HND/B.Sc./B.A. in Mass Communication or Electrical/Electronic
Engineering from a recognized Institution with a minimum of Lower Credit/2nd
Class Lower Division plus NYSC Discharge Certificate or Evidence of Exemption.

five (5) subjects including Mathematics and English Language is compulsory.
Evidence of experience in Digital
Studio Management is required, while professional certificate in Digital Studio
Management would be an added advantage.
PRESENTER I (RADIO UNILAG)
REQUIREMENTS
Prospective candidates should
possess B.Sc/B.A/HND in Mass Communication or any related discipline from a
recognized Institution with a minimum of 2nd Class Lower Division/Lower Credit
plus NYSC Discharge Certificate or Evidence of Exemption.
SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O/L credit in
five (5) subjects including Mathematics and English Language is compulsory.
Candidate must possess a minimum
of three (3) years relevant experience in Presentation and News Editing.
All candidates MUST pass Audition
Test, while professional certificate in Presentation would be an added
advantage.

REQUIREMENTS

possess B.Sc/B.A/HND in Mass Communication or any related discipline from a
recognized Institution with a minimum of 2nd Class Lower Division/Lower Credit
plus NYSC Discharge Certificate or Evidence of Exemption.

SENIOR BROADCAST ENGINEER (RADIO
UNILAG)
REQUIREMENTS
Senior Broadcast Engineer
(CONTISS 9): Prospective candidates should possess B.Sc./HND in Electrical/Electronic
Engineering from a recognized Institution with a minimum of 2nd Class Lower
Division/Lower Credit plus NYSC Discharge Certificate or Evidence of Exemption.
SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O/L credit in
five (5) subjects including Mathematics and English Language is compulsory.
Candidate must possess a minimum
of six (6) years relevant experience in Broadcast Engineering.
Professional certificate in
Broadcast Engineering is required.
